Biography.

Lorenzo Ortiz was born the day he saw Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon.
His consciousness, his awareness, and the sense that there's a bigger thing than man were also born that day on a tropical island in the Caribbean.

Son of Puerto Rico's Poet Laureate, Lorenzo has always been an artist.
Actor since the age of 5, he acted in several plays in the Theatre Department of the University of Puerto Rico where his mother worked as a costume designer.
By the time he was 10 he had, in is own mind, explored the world of the theater. He had already fallen in love with a medium, that he saw as the evolution of all art-forms; film.

At the age of 13 Lorenzo took a job working as a production assistant for a production company.

After barely surviving High School and getting rejected from every film and art school he had apply to, and with out having any real prospects or plans, Lorenzo moved to Boston, MA. In Cambridge, working at a video store, he mold himself after the philosophers he found around the streets of Boston and Cambridge, the heroes in books and of course his growing knowledge of the medium of film. He was able to work as Teacher's Assistant for many educational institutions including Harvard University, and thanks to this he was able to get a free education in return.

After many years and many lessons, Lorenzo made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up in Los Angeles, CA. There he would learn all the lessons there were left to learn regarding film and the industry.  He worked in the bowels of the industry for what felt like three consecutive lifetimes in the same mangled body.

In 2007, with the support of his mother island, he collected the people and places he held dear in his early days and constructed a Caribbean Lullaby, a Death Dream Rattle, one last poem for two cross star lovers; “What I tell the wind/ Lo que cuento al viento”.

Among his many accomplishments he considers his awareness of the relativity of time his best.

He wishes to help facilitate a much needed evolution in the industrialized world.
